Welcome from

Dave Middleton, Executive Chair of amii.

Welcome to the 2026 Summer Health and Wellbeing Summit.

The broader health & wellbeing picture hasn’t changed much since we last met. NHS pressures continue, demand for private provision remains strong, and the questions facing our sector — around access, cost, and value — aren’t going away. What has changed is the quality of the conversation. That’s what our Summit is about.

This year, we’ve done things differently — deliberately so. Over the past twelve months, we’ve listened to what our members and attendees actually want from an event like this: more meaningful conversations, more real interaction, and less time spent sitting passively in a room. That feedback shaped every part of today’s programme.

We open with Sally Earnshaw and her keynote, Unstoppable. Sally is a TEDx speaker and founder of Oomph, with over 20 years’ experience helping people and organisations perform at their best. Her message is direct: you don’t need a leadership title to make an impact. It’s about accountability, action, and getting things done. The right energy to set the tone for the day.

From there, we move into Six in Sixty — six speakers, ten minutes each, back-to-back. You’ll hear from James Hudson at Benenden Health, Dr Corne Hurter at AXA Health, Jenny Nye at Aviva Health, Dr Rishi Patel at Vitality Health, Dr Elizabeth Rogers at Bupa Health Clinics and Clare Lusted from Unum UK. Six different perspectives, one focused hour. No filler.

After lunch and networking in the Exhibition Hall, we introduce Connect 4 — a structured, topic-led networking format designed to replace the usual wandering-around-a-room approach. You’ll join small group discussions on subjects our members have said they want to hear about, rotate through four sessions, and come away with practical insights from providers who know their areas inside out.

We close with Sean Conway. Sean is the only person in history to have completed the Ultimate Great Britain Triathlon — cycling, swimming and running the length of Britain. His keynote on resilience draws on experiences that most of us can barely imagine, delivered with the kind of honesty and humour that stays with you well beyond the day.

A word of thanks. To Tina Jennings, our General Secretary, whose dedication and clear-sightedness have been central to making this event what it is. To the Executive Committee for their continued commitment throughout the year. And to our exhibitors and sponsors, without whom a day like today simply wouldn’t happen.

Thank you for being here. And thank you for being members. amii is its community, and your support is what makes it work.

We hope you have a genuinely rewarding day with us.

Sally Earnshaw

Chief Oompher

Sally Earnshaw is a TEDx speaker, author and founder of Oomph, with more than 20 years of experience helping people and organisations unlock high performance.

Known as the “Chief Oompher”, Sally believes you do not need a leadership title to make an impact. Her keynote, Unstoppable, is built around a simple idea: every person has the potential to influence outcomes, shape culture and drive results, regardless of role.

Sally’s sessions are energetic, relatable and packed with practical tools people can use immediately. Whether it is stepping up, communicating with clarity, building confidence or navigating change, her focus is always on helping people take action. At the heart of Sally’s message is accountability. She challenges people to cut through excuses, take ownership and get things done.

Blending real world experience with behavioural science and humour, Sally helps individuals move from thinking to doing, and from stuck to unstoppable. Working across industries and at every level of business, Sally’s mission remains the same: helping people feel unstoppable so they can become the very best version of themselves, both at work and beyond.
