The Annual General Meeting of The Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII) took place at Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire on 23 March 2017. It offered the opportunity to hear from industry experts on key issues impacting the healthcare insurance sector, network and also vote and be updated on role changes at AMII.
Stuart Scullion has been offered the position of Executive Chair by the AMII Executive Committee and had accepted.
Stuart Scullion had been Honorary Chair of the Association for the last two years. The AMII Executive were unanimous in their decision to offer the position to Stuart given the work he has been doing in engaging with and lobbying the Government in relation to IPT and the FCA in regards to regulatory changes. He has been the driving force behind ensuring financial stability within the body and attracting new Corporate Members.
A number of other Executive positions were also voted for at the AGM: Marcia Reid of Stackhouse Poland and Isaac Feiner of Lifepoint Healthcare joined as Executive Committee Officers; and Paul Moulton of AXA PPP Healthcare, Jason Morris of Bupa and Matt Whitehouse of UNUM joined as Corporate Member Representatives.
The current Treasurer, Paul Swanson, stood again unopposed and in addition three Executive Members, Dave Middleton, Andrew Apps and Claire Ginnelly, announced their decision to continue in post for at least another year.
